Resolution
==========

As many are no doubt aware of already, there has been some contention
between this MUD and Blackadder/Rachael, operators of Mystique, a MUD
built and based off of ElvenMUD's code.  Since his departure, Blackadder
has insisted on removal of his zones from ElvenMUD.  It has been the
position of this MUD's Administration, and myself in particular, that
we will not be subject to the whims of zone authors.  In my opinion, to
allow such interference handcuffs MUD Owners and in many ways exempts
zone authors from the various policies.

Be that as it may, in order to put an end to any further confrontations
and/or disputes with Rachael and/or Blackadder, I have removed
Sevensins from the code entirely.  No copy of anything involving the zone
     exists on this MUD.

This decision was made rather easy when I checked the syslog.  The Quest
had actually been completed no more than 20 times in the year+ that it
has been on Elven.  (Actually, I saw 5 completions, but the syslog is
relatively new, and a large chunk of it is stored elsewhere.)  I would
also like to personally thank Maoceia for interceding in this dispute,
although I certainly don't envy her having to deal with three such
     stubborn people.  (*grin*)

So, based primarily on lack of runner interest, and secondarily on our
not wanting to continue or participate in a war, the zone is gone.

     Addendum:
     ---------

"lack of runner interest" is not meant to imply that we think poorly
of the zone.  Sevensins was very well-written, and the specials were
pure evil.  *grin*  (They should be.. they were written by Blackadder,
and coded by me, what would you expect??)  Just for some reason, the
runners didn't seem to like it.  I think it might just be too tough.
         (hehehe... pansies!!  *cackle*) ;)
